Designer
Pages

The plan proposed ten designer pages. The catalogue supports five. This is what is behind each name, and the specifications for the ones worth building.

Measured against all 357 products on 27 August 2026

What is behind each name

Counts include the product title, description and tags. A designer page with one or two products behind it cannot rank, and sends the visitors it does attract to an empty shelf.

Mazzega

Deepest maker on the site. Rondini, Poliedri and tiered glass. Already specified in the Murano pack.

Cassina

8 of the 16 name Cassina in the title. Enough to carry a page and support Le Corbusier licensing history.

Build now
16 products
Knoll

10 in the title. Platner, Saarinen and Bertoia pieces sit under this name.

Build now
15 products
Le Corbusier / Jeanneret / Perriand

9 across the three names, none in a title. Worth one combined page, not three.

Build now
9 products
Mario Bellini

4 products, 1 in a title. Buildable, and the plan's first-priority name.

Poltronova

3 products. Revisit when stock grows.

Defer

Charles & Ray Eames

Only 2 products. The name attracts search volume the inventory cannot satisfy.

Gae Aulenti

The recommendation

Five pages, not ten Build now: Mazzega (18), Cassina (16), Knoll (15), Le Corbusier / Jeanneret / Perriand (9) and Mario Bellini (4).

Defer: Poltronova, Eames, Gae Aulenti and Afra & Tobia Scarpa. One to three products each. Revisit when stock arrives.

Drop: De Sede and Vico Magistretti. Neither name appears anywhere in the catalogue.

Le Corbusier, Jeanneret and Perriand should be one page rather than three. They worked together, they are collected together, and splitting nine products across three pages produces three weak pages instead of one strong one.

The blocker under all of this

Vendor field Every one of the 357 products has its vendor set to "Assembly Vintage Concept Store" or "assembly-vintage". Not one carries its actual maker.

Two consequences. First, designer collections cannot be built automatically, so all five pages would need manual curation and manual maintenance forever. Second, Shopify sends the vendor field to Google as the brand attribute, which means every product in the Merchant Center feed is branded "Assembly Vintage Concept Store" rather than Knoll, Cassina or Mazzega. That works against the catalogue approval work already done.

Setting vendor correctly on the 357 products is the single change that unlocks Section 5 and improves the Shopping feed at the same time.

Specifications for the four new pages

Mazzega is already specified in the Murano build pack and is the template these follow.

Cassina is the most represented furniture house in the Assembly collection after Knoll, with sixteen pieces currently held. The Meda workshop is where a great deal of twentieth century Italian design was actually made, including licensed production of Le Corbusier, Jeanneret and Perriand. This page brings every Cassina piece Assembly holds into one place, with the history of the company and what to look for when buying vintage rather than current production.

Fifteen Knoll pieces, ten of which carry the name in the title. Knoll is the house that put Platner, Saarinen and Bertoia into production, so the name covers several of the most recognisable forms of the twentieth century. Assembly holds period pieces rather than current production, and this page explains the difference along with what is currently available.

The three names worked together and are collected together, so Assembly presents them on one page rather than three thin ones. Nine pieces are currently held. None of them carry the names in their product titles today, which is precisely why this page matters: the association exists in the inventory but is invisible to search.

Four Bellini pieces are currently held. The plan named Bellini first and the inventory supports a page, though a modest one. It is worth building now because the name is searched by collectors and because the page can grow as stock arrives rather than being created later from nothing.
